Why Do You Need Emergency Access Sharing?
Imagine a scenario: You're incapacitated in an emergency, and your loved ones need access to your bank accounts, medical records, or important passwords. Or your business partner needs critical server credentials while you're unreachable.
Traditional methods of sharing sensitive information are either insecure (email, text messages) or inaccessible when truly needed (password managers locked behind your master password).
ICEShare solves this problem with a secure, encrypted emergency access system that works when you need it most.
Common Use Cases
- Banking passwords for spouse or family members
- Server access credentials for backup administrators
- Social media account recovery information
- Legal documents and safe combinations
- Medical information for emergency responders
How ICEShare Works
Create & Encrypt
Enter your sensitive information and designate a trusted person (trustee). Your data is immediately encrypted using military-grade XSalsa20-Poly1305 encryption before leaving your browser.
Secure Notification
Your trustee receives an email with a secure one-time access link. You receive a management link to monitor, revoke, or update the share at any time.
Emergency Access
In an emergency, the trustee clicks the link to view the information once. After viewing, it's permanently deleted. You're notified immediately when access occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is ICEShare really secure?
Yes. ICEShare uses XSalsa20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption, the same technology used by Signal and other secure messaging apps. Your data is encrypted before it leaves your browser, and even we cannot decrypt it. Keys are protected using HashiCorp Vault, an enterprise-grade secrets management system.
What happens after the trustee views the information?
The information is immediately and permanently deleted from all systems. There is no backup, no recovery, and no way to view it again. You receive an instant email notification when access occurs.
Can I manage or revoke access?
Absolutely! When you create a share, you receive a management link that allows you to: check if it's been accessed, revoke access at any time, extend the 1-year expiration, replace the secret with updated information, or delete the share permanently.
How long does a share last?
Shares expire automatically after 1 year if not accessed. We send reminder emails at 30, 14, and 7 days before expiration. You can extend the expiration for another year anytime from your management link.
Is there a cost?
ICEShare is completely free to use. No registration, no credit card, no hidden fees. We may introduce premium features in the future, but basic emergency access sharing will always remain free.
